What helps when you're new

These are typical starting points — your situation may vary, and that's fine. Tell us where you're at and we'll work from there.

🪪

Driver's licence

A valid BC licence — or the ability to get one. Already driving on an international or foreign licence? That's a start too.

📄

Status in Canada

Permanent resident card, work permit, study permit, or confirmation documents. Different programs fit different statuses.

💼

Proof of income

A job letter, recent pay stubs, or an offer letter. Lenders want to see income stability — it matters more than a credit score for newcomers.

🏠

Proof of address

A lease agreement, utility bill, or bank statement with your BC address. Simple, but lenders usually ask for it.

💰

Down payment

Helpful, not always required. A down payment usually opens up better options and terms — we'll show you the difference.

🔁

Trade-in

Your current vehicle can count toward your purchase. We'll review it with your application.

Choose your vehicle

Pick from inspected inventory, or ask us to source the right make, model, and budget. Delivery options across BC after your purchase.

Questions newcomers ask us

Straight answers — the same ones we'd give you on the phone.

I have zero Canadian credit history. Is financing still possible?

Often, yes. Several lenders run newcomer programs that look at your full situation — status in Canada, income, down payment — rather than a Canadian credit score alone. We'll tell you honestly what's realistic for your case.

Can I use my credit history from another country?

Most Canadian lenders don't pull foreign credit reports, but documented foreign history can still help your file — and some newcomer programs take it into account. Bring what you have.

Do I need a cosigner?

Not necessarily. A cosigner is one way to strengthen an application, but plenty of newcomers finance on their own. It depends on the full picture — we'll walk you through it.

How much down payment do I need?

It varies. A down payment generally improves your options and terms, and some programs work with little or none. We'll show you what's possible both ways so you can decide.

How long does the process take?

The online pre-approval takes about two minutes. From there, timing depends on your documents and the lender — often just a day or two once we have what we need.

I'm outside Kelowna. Can you still help?

Yes. We serve buyers across the Okanagan and BC — Vernon, Penticton, Kamloops and beyond — with delivery options after your purchase is complete.

Start with a simple pre-approval.

No pressure, no commitment — just a clearer idea of what may be possible. Options for many credit situations, including no Canadian history.
